Pasiton by Carolyn Shattuck
"The idea for the book originated from learning about the Bill Wilson House in Dorset, Vermont. He and Dr. Bob founded Alcoholics Anonymous. The meeting room walls are lined with license plates which, in their own language, describe the journey of their members." - Carolyn Shattuck
The AA members using license plates are limited by how many letters and numbers can be displayed. But that didn’t stop them from getting the word out. The plates read from plain spoken “SHOW UP” to “TGF AA” to “KM2BELV”. This is indeed a testament to the will to persevere and to overcome.
