A Collection of Letters Written by Important Publishers...by Heavenly Monkey
"The usual Christmas make-work task for the studio, sent to friends, colleagues & patrons. Set by Rollin, printed by Baqus on paper made by Reg, & stitched together by the Guero. Joyeux Noel!" - Colophon
Introduction: "We're pretty sure that, at some point during their lives, each of the publishers wrote the letters attributed to them in this book. Actually, each probably also wrote the letters attributed to the others as well..."
Each leaf lists a publisher (Gutenberg, Griffo, Blaeu, Baskerville, Evans, and Gill), one alphabet letter, and one or two lines describing the creator. For example: "Johann Gutenberg c. 1450 / G / The visionary, entrepreneur, and ultimately, for his efforts, bankrupt who started it all."
